What to expect at the Autumn Breath Retreat

Friday— Arriving and slowing down

As you arrive, you’ll be warmly welcomed. You’ll check in, leave your everyday responsibilities behind and step into a space without schedules or pressure.

The first session will help you settle in and unwind from the week. Dinner is served in a calm setting – maybe for the first time in a while, you can just eat, rest and be.

The day ends with a peaceful sauna evening. You can relax in the warmth, take a dip in Lake Saimaa, or simply cool off outdoors and let your body and mind slow down.

Saturday — Reconnecting with body and mind with time for yourself

The day begins with a gentle morning practice to wake up the body and clear the mind. After breakfast, you’ll have free time to recharge and enjoy the surroundings in your own way.

You can explore Puumala’s scenic forest trails or sit by the lake. There’s also the option (at your own cost) to use a canoe or SUP board available at Pistohiekka, if you'd like to experience Saimaa from the water.

In the day’s workshop, you’ll reflect on what you might want to make more room for in your life – and what might be taking up too much space. The exercises are down-to-earth and help bring clarity to your thoughts and feelings.

After lunch, the afternoon is slow and spacious. You can choose to spend time in nature or simply rest.

In the evening, a guided sauna ritual offers a new kind of sauna experience. You’ll enjoy natural scents and waves of heat that supports deep relaxation.

After the ritual, you’ll enjoy dinner. The day ends with a calming evening practice to help you wind down and prepare for a restful sleep.

Sunday — Returning with clarity and calm

The final morning starts with a peaceful session to gather the weekend’s experiences. You’ll have space to breathe, reflect and carry the benefits of the retreat into your everyday life.

After breakfast, you’ll still have time to visit the sauna, sit by the lake or simply enjoy the silence of nature.

In our final shared moment, you’ll have the chance to put your experience into words and consider how to take what you’ve gained into your daily routines. As you head home, you’ll take with you a lighter body, clearer mind and a sense of calm.

All-Inclusive Experience

Everything essential is included – accommodation, meals and the full programme. You don’t need to worry about logistics; you can simply focus on resting and being present.

Places are limited to keep the atmosphere calm and personal. If you feel this weekend could be just what you need, we recommend booking your spot in advance.

You’re warmly welcome to pause, recharge and take care of yourself in the heart of autumn.

The retreat is guided by Jutta Kontto

Imagine a moment where you can take a deep breath, let go of performing and give yourself permission to just be. Jutta Kontto is your travel companion on this path — a gentle and at the same time encouraging guide who will help you find your inner strength and balance.

Juta's own journey began through exhaustion, but instead of staying in it, she looked for ways to heal -- and found the path she now wants to share with you. Yin yoga, sound bowl therapy and psychic coaching are her tools but what matters most is her presence: safe, permissive and at the same time suitably challenging.

Under Juta's guidance, you are more than a participant — you are an informer, a strengthened one, a rediscoverer of yourself. A retreat with him is not just a moment of rest but a journey towards deeper self-understanding and well-being.

Give yourself the opportunity to stop, breathe and rediscover what is meaningful to you.
